R.A.M.S. Aviation Company, Inc. is a specialized helicopter support facility providing comprehensive repairs & maintenance, completions, transport, recovery, inspections, preventative maintenance, overhauls and painting.  R.A.M.S. Aviation is located in Plantersville, Texas with our modern facility providing extensive helicopter support and professional expertise dedicated to providing comprehensive helicopter maintenance operations to law enforcement, public use, corporate, air medical and utility helicopters.  R.A.M.S. Aviation has the all the equipment necessary for helicopter recovery, including trailers, portable crane and hoist to pick up and transport to our facility for repairs.

R.A.M.S. founder and President, Mr. Jonathan Rankin started his company in 1997 with his passion & love of helicopters and with the simple purpose of providing comprehensive and professional maintenance services.   Mr. Rankin is an aircraft inspector maintaining Inspection Authorization privileges and, although dedicating his career to maintenance, is a certified pilot.  He attended Vincennes University in Southern Indiana for his aviation education and degree.  While there he became fascinated with the helicopter aspect of the aviation industry and continued educating himself in this specialty.  Jon also has a B.S. degree in engineering and has completed many helicopter and engine factory training schools along with having served in the U. S. Army as a Cobra crew Chief and Aerial Observer. 

Nicholas Costa is the shop supervisor for R.A.M.S. Aviation Company, Inc. He has been working for R.A.M.S. since 2012 , where he started washing and waxing helicopters. Nick is a certified A&P and graduated magna cum laude with two associate degrees of applied science from Texas State Technical College. Nick has also completed factory school for the Airbus H125 airframe and Safran Arriel 2B, 2B1, and 2D engines.

Audrey A. Jones is the Purchasing manager for R.A.M.S. Aviation.  She manages all of the spares, component overhauls and exchanges and engine and component rentals.  Although new to the aviation industry, with this position as purchasing manager her skills include data entry, maintaining and entering purchase orders, maintaining, compiling purchasing reports and working with accounts payable regarding supplier and vendor invoices. 

 

  • Responsible for inventory control and aviation parts and ordering
  • Communicate with technicians and external sources on the status of parts ordered
  • Monitor shipping and receiving to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Ensure proper documentation and record keeping for all parts
  • Review purchase orders, parts requests, and warranty administration
  • Utilize and maintain the integrity of the work order system
